Istanbul, Pera
With its quiet courtyard and intimate scale, The Yard is designed for guests who value space, privacy, and character rather than constant interaction.
The building was originally constructed as a consulate guesthouse. Despite the years, its calm presence and quiet elegance remain untouched.
Just a short walk from Istiklal Street, it sits at the center of Istanbul’s cultural life while remaining quietly removed from the rush outside.
Shared spaces here are not simply areas to pass through. Morning light enters the courtyard softly, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Instead of a visible service culture, we prefer to remain quietly in the background.
Each room is carefully prepared — clean, considered, and equipped with everything essential. The rest is left to the guest’s own rhythm.
There is no traditional reception desk. Access is simple and secure via a personal door code.
Guests are free to arrive, stay, and move at their own pace.
The structure is largely wooden, preserving its original materials and character, creating a warm, natural atmosphere.
"With only seven rooms, guests naturally become neighbors. At The Yard, shared spaces are guided by mutual respect and a quiet awareness of others."
Each room at The Yard is carefully prepared with a balance of comfort and simplicity. Every detail is selected to provide what is essential — nothing excessive, nothing missing.
We invite you to discover our seven uniquely designed spaces, each offering a distinct perspective on the quiet elegance of 19th-century Pera.
The building was originally constructed in the 1880s as a consulate guesthouse in Pera, one of Istanbul’s most cosmopolitan districts at the time. Despite the changes it has gone through over the years, its calm presence and quiet elegance can still be felt today.
The Yard is set within a structure where natural materials define the atmosphere. The combination of wood and stone creates a quiet, warm environment that reflects the building’s history while supporting a sense of calm throughout the space.
Due to the preserved historic fabric of the neighborhood, direct vehicular access to the entrance is not possible, and there is no dedicated parking nearby—a detail that naturally ensures our street remains peacefully tucked away from traffic. Once inside, the building is equipped with an elevator to ensure effortless movement between our historical floors.
Every corner of The Yard tells a story of quiet observation and careful curation.
A hidden sanctuary where historic stone walls meet tranquil spaces. Step into our courtyard and experience a serene escape from the city.
More than just a boutique hotel in the city's heritage center — it is a timeless retreat designed to stay with you.
